It’s CHRISTMAS!  Merry day!!  Since you’ve finished opening presents/eating pancakes/doing dishes, probably, I thought you might want some fun thinking links to check out (it’s still Thursday, after all)!

  1. DIY peppermint lip balm!  I want to try this.
  2. An amazing/hysterical piece on an Emotional Support Alpaca (among other things).
  3. Did you watch Love Actually this holiday season? I did (I always do, it’s a gem), but I can’t stop laughing/agreeing with this commentary.  (ps: I hate Uncle Jamie!)
  4. Ileana’s espresso panna cotta looks like it would be SO GOOD on New Year’s Eve, no?
  5. What Serial Really Taught Us.
  6. Also, Serial + Christmas + SNL = Yes.
  7. This is fun to watch, and I’m not even a dog/cat/pet person.
  8. Is Chinese takeout really more popular on Christmas?
  9. Did you make Christmas Gingerbread this year?  There’s still time!
  10. The history of roasted vegetables? (#sheetpans)

MERRY MERRY!!

Happy Thursday, friends!  Here, your easy-to-digest Thursday thinklings (lots of videos this week!):

  1. Want the recipe for those Coconutty Ganache Thumbprints up there? Grab a copy of Sheet Pan Suppers! (p.266 yo)
  2. Have you seen the 31 Days of Pie over on Matt Bites? This Double Chocolate Malted Tart looks insane.
  3. Newest trailer for Pixar’s next movie, Inside Out!  Can’t wait to see this one.
  4. The cutest, most edible menorah you ever did see.
  5. More a capella, this time mixed with some Johnny Cash. SO GOOD.  I loved these guys on The Sing-Off.  Did anyone else watch that show? #NickLachey
  6. More MORE a capella, and possibly the best parody of T. Swift’s “Shake It Off” I’ve seen yet… bonus points for the helpful explanation of how to actually play dreidel.
  7. Remember these Chewy Gingerbread Chocolate Chunk Cookies? I want one.
  8. These British kids are adorable, even when they don’t get the presents they’re expecting.
  9. Did you catch yesterday’s holiday Mollygram?  It’s for YOU!

Thanks for popping by today.  Enjoy the (almost) weekend!!

  1. If you like winning stuff, enter this cool giveaway to win some awesome OXO cooking gear!
  2. Is Better Vanilla Extract Worth the Price?
  3. Whoa, check out this mashup of 2014’s biggest hits.  T. Swizz gets some major love (which, of course, I love).
  4. Amber made the Fancy Tuna Melts from Sheet Pan Suppers and they look PERFECT!
  5. Obama fills in for Colbert and it’s excellent.
  6. So interesting and fun — Diverse Holiday Feasts from 5 New York Families. I’m in for the Jewish-Japanese Christmas meal.  Which table would you choose?
  7. Ladies and gents, IT’S HERE: the 2014 Hater’s Guide to the Williams Sonoma Catalog.
  8. I’m a real sucker for (adorable, British) A Capella groups + Mariah Carey Xmas.

  10. Speaking of little cakes, remember these Meyer Lemon Gingerbread Muffins?  They’re the perfect snack for holiday house guests!

Happy almost weekend!

It’s Thursdaaaaaaaaaaaaay!  Just one week until Thanksgiving!  Here are some thinks for the week:

  1. Remember our pumpkin mousse (above)?  Now’s the time.
  2. Thanksgiving recipes across the United States!  This is fun.
  3. Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is one of my fave web series. The Kevin Hart episode is fantastic.
  4. Ohhhh man, remember DELiA*s?  (Best clothing catalogs and/or users of random capital letters ever).
  5. Executive Women, Finding (& Owning) Their Voice.  Great advice in here.
  6. Ava Ryan (age 4), Queen of Vine?
  7. Grammar nerds rejoice!  This is amazing.
  8. Famous Women on Aging.  My fave: “The secret of staying young is to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age.” —Lucille Ball
  9. 8 Small Cooking Habits That Make a Big Difference.  It’s true.  Though I have a love/hate relationship with #4.
  10. Brunch is for Jerks?  I’m going to say no.

Happy almost weekend!

Another week in the books!  (Above photo just because I miss my wedding.  Will do a full wedding recap here soon!) For now, here’s what I think, this Thursday:

  1. Ask Polly gets TOUGH on relationship advice.  Whoa.
  2. What Men Are Really Saying When Catcalling Women.
  3. Can we all just take a second to re-appreciate this music video?  N*SYNC 4 life.  (I still know this entire dance b.t.dubs)
  4. Long but interesting — Against The Grain.  a.k.a. is gluten really SO terrible??
  5. I love how all of the characters in Harry Potter have supremely well-thought-out backstories.  Here, an official profile of Dolores Jane Umbridge (one of the best literary villains out there, I think).
  6. Interesting parenting advice.
  7. I kind of wish my name were Elizabeth Gallagher?  This kid is cute.
  8. Thanksgiving is almost here… we need some mashed potato tips!
  9. Another genius Ina Garten meme.  “If you can’t summon the flames directly from hell, storebought is fine.”
  10. Jacques Pepin is INCROYABLE.  I once saw him casually sculpt an incredibly lifelike rose from a stick of butter in about 2 seconds flat.  Just saying.

Hey!  It’s Thursday again!  Amazing how that happens like, every week.  Here are some thinks for this installment of I Think Thursday:

  2. This twitter account for a fake progressive-parenting daycare is hysterical.
  3. I love Sarah’s blog (and pantry sense).
  4. Cutest Halloween costume ever?  I think so.
  5. 15 career tips for smart women.  Get after it, gals.
  6. Brittany’s photographs are so colorful and amazing.
  7. I’m totally still ALL about that bass.  Here’s an amazing version of what the song would sound like in the 1940’s.  …SWINGIN’, man.
  8. Cute idea for an easy Halloween treat.
  9. Or you could make Owl Cupcakes (above) and pretty much just win Halloween.

Happy Thursday, all!

  8. I do plan to have kids one day, but I found this article both fascinating and funny.

Cheers to the (almost) weekend!

Welcome to I Think Thursday!  It’s the first weekly series in this little space, and I hope you like it.  The idea is to highlight a few things worth thinking about (be they funny, insightful, inspirational or delicious) every week.  Here we go!

This week, here’s what I think:

  1. My cookbook, Sheet Pan Suppers, is now available for pre-order!  (I don’t think this, I know it.)  If you want to learn how to make Greens & Eggs & Ham (above), go ahead and grab one now – it’ll be at your doorstep on December 2nd!
  2. Every woman should read about The Shine Theory.  #Beyonce.
  3. As a kid’s cooking instructor, I found this video particularly hilarious/adorable.
  4. I think you guys should know about Ileana’s blog.  Do you know it?  I love it.
  5. Have you ever heard of an “Articles Club?”  I’d totally join one.
  6. These doughnuts are worth revisiting.
  7. These shoes are adorbs.
  8. I’m really proud of my friend Katherine’s new business.  She’s helping to turn around underperforming schools in the Boston area.  GO, Kath!
  9. This music video just makes me so happy. #BootyBooty
  10. Sarah continually blows my mind with her amazing recipes and photos.  That Brownie Tart with Salted Caramel looks insane.

…So?  What do YOU think?  Let me know in the comments!  Happy almost-weekend, friends!

Sheet Pan Sweets gives us all the sweets on just one sheet! From sheet cakes, rolled and layered cakes, cookies, bars, pies, tarts, even breakfast treats – sheet pan baking means plenty of sweets to share, and I’ve got you covered with this one.

One Pan & Done is about getting simple, delicious meals from your oven to your table, post haste. Pull out your sheet pans, Dutch ovens, cast iron skillets, casserole dishes, muffin tins and more – we’re coming for ya!

Sheet Pan Suppers is my first book! It is about cooking on a sheet pan (read: easy set-up, easy clean-up!) and I think you might be into it.
